Awesome update

Remember me telling you about my good furiend Mkhitaryan? He arrived at the shelter with a badly abscessed wound, and basically almost didn't make it. But look at him now!!

Mkhitaryan was adopted by a totally pawesome family and has a new fur sister, Lexi. His foster mom described their first meeting as "they played and played and played, then laid down and played some more."

Hooray for happy endings!!

Thanks Chewy!

Thanks to everyone who wrote to Chewy for us! We're happy to report that they wrote to us directly and let us know that they're planning to stock Jessie's camel bags in the future, but for now their parent company has started carrying them. PHEW! We knew Chewy wouldn't let us down!

 "Thanks, Chewy!"

Chewy, how could you do this to us?

Like most of our blogging buddies, Jessie and I are big fans of for all our food and treat needs! But we discovered something this weekend that makes us very sad.

This is Jessie getting her camel treatments. She has to get subcutaneous fluid treatments every single day because of her kidney disease. Momma buys the bags of fluid -- called "lactated ringers" -- online. We had been using a company called Pet360. We found out this weekend they were taken over by Chewy. Great, now we can get this necessary product from the website we already love, woohoo!!!

"WHAT??? Really???"

But when we checked Chewy, we found that they STILL don't carry lactated ringers!! It made us SO sad that they would take over another company but then not carry all the things that the other company did! We found another (more expensive) source for lactated ringers, but we're still hoping that Chewy might decide to carry them in the future. We emailed, and they just said they'll add it to their Wish List of future products.

"Please, Mr. Chewy??"

If you use Chewy, please email them at and request that they start carrying lactated ringers! Maybe that will get it moved up higher on their Wish List. Jessie would really appreciate it!

Heart to heart

Hey folks. Remember I told you a few months back that my big ol' heart is just so full of love that it skips beats sometimes? I've been on medicine to control it, but I had a follow-up test this week and I'm back to skipping some beats again. Now I have to take meds THREE times a day, blech. I'm getting another test in a month to see if it's working or if we need to try some different meds. I'd appreciate some POTP to make sure it works. You know I feel fine, but Mommas get worried, that's all.

It's my adoptiversary!

Hey folks, Jessie here! You know, two years ago today was a pretty impawtant day. Furst, Momma dressed us all up pretty and matching each other and took us to the park.

I acted pretty silly for a while, because there was a funny guy with a flashy beast!

But Casey taught me how to pose like a pawfessional.

And then we took our very furst FAMILY picture.

Yup, two years ago today, my momma signed the adoption papers that made her my MOMMA instead of my FOSTER momma. And I became part of the family fur reals!!!

We had a pawty to celebrate, with some of my favorite people, like Auntie, and my namesake Auntie Jess, and Casey's Boy.

There was even a cake!

But best of all was that I was a FUREVER dog.

It's been a fangtastic two years! And my family is going to make the most of every moment we have together!

You like what you like!

It's always funny to see how different pups can act completely differently sometimes. For example, this was Jessie yesterday.

As soon as Momma came home and opened the dog door, Jessie ran right out and sprawled on the patio to bask in the sun. She does that ALL the time, until her furs are hot to the touch and Momma makes her come in. Meanwhile...

Give me a soft bed and air conditioning ANY time!
